About App Imp
App Imp surfaces frequency-ranked complaints from over 2 million App Store reviews across top categories. By analyzing what users specifically dislike about existing apps, the tool helps you identify market gaps and product opportunities based on real user feedback rather than guesswork. What you get: A free report on any app category. Type "calorie tracking", get every complaint in that market ranked by how often it actually appears. No signup, no card. The Deep Report — €9, one-off, no subscription. The gap counted against the baseline rate across the whole corpus, the named sub-pattern underneath it ("barcode scanner moved behind the paywall — 112 reviews, 9 of 10 apps"), verbatim quotes, who's leaving it open, what the incumbents charge, and what to ship first. What makes us different: Frequency, not vibes. Everyone can read one-star reviews. We count all of them and rank what repeats — the gap nobody has fixed is the one that shows up 112 times, not the one that's loudest. Every complaint is measured against a norm. A complaint running 2.6× the cross-app rate is a real opening. The same complaint at 1.0× is just what apps are. Without that baseline, every category looks broken. Real arithmetic over public reviews, verbatim quotes. Nothing generated, nothing paraphrased. If the number is 112, you can go count it. Who it's for: Indie devs and solo founders deciding what to build next, who'd rather spend €9 than three months finding out. Bootstrappers entering a crowded category who need to know what fourteen incumbents still haven't fixed. Product people sizing up a market they haven't shipped into before. Anyone with a shortlist of ideas and no counted reason to pick one.

Ranking complaints from 2M+ App Store reviews against a cross-app baseline is stronger than collecting loud one-star examples. Can reports segment frequency by country, app version and time window so legacy complaints do not dominate?
@russlan Ill split into multiple since it wont fit into one. Time: yes. Reports cap the sample at 24 months, and 52% of the 2M reviews are under a year old.
@russlan Version: captured on ~100% of reviews, but reports don't segment by it yet. Fair hit, and it's the cheap one to fix.
@russlan Country: no. The corpus is US-only currently in MVP1. Apple scopes reviews per storefront, so that's a re-ingest, not a filter.
Super excited to finally share it – would love your honest feedback and suggestions!
@sundayorisajuyigbes Thank you ;) Not currently but thanks for the offer!
