About DeviceShelf
DeviceShelf scans your Wi-Fi or LAN and shows every device that answers: named, typed and sorted, with IP, vendor and open ports right there in the row. To figure out what each box actually is, it combines MAC vendor (OUI), DNS, mDNS/Bonjour, NetBIOS, SNMP, UPnP, TTL, DHCP fingerprints and open-port profiles. For the stubborn unknowns there is an optional AI step: you bring your own provider key, or run a local model with Ollama, and it turns the collected signals into a name, a role and the reasoning behind both. The vulnerability check reads service banners and versions, matches known CVEs and hands you a plain-language fix for each finding. Monitoring is built in: availability over 30 days, latency curves, outages with start, end and duration, and per-device bandwidth. Every scan result stays on your device. There is no DeviceShelf cloud, no account and no telemetry, and the license is verified locally, so the app keeps working fully offline. The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. The iOS and Android apps run the same scanning engine as the desktop, not a watered-down companion build. A headless 24/7 server edition (Docker, .deb, Windows service) watches the network around the clock. Free 7-day trial, then one €59 license covers desktop, mobile and server.

DeviceShelf grew out of wanting one answer to "what is that thing on my network?" without sending the map to someone's cloud. Happy to answer questions; feedback from your own network helps most.
