About Dim0
Your research is in the browser. Your notes are in Notion. Your diagrams are in Excalidraw. Your AI is in a chat box. Dim0 puts everything on one canvas. Dim0 is an open source thinking canvas where the AI agent reads your board, searches the web, and writes results directly as nodes β not in a chat box. No copy-paste, no tab switching. Key features: - Rich-text notes with markdown, math, code blocks, toggles, slash commands and sub-pages - Hand-drawn shapes and diagrams like Excalidraw - Live code execution inside canvas nodes - HTML widgets β charts, visual explainers, interactive dashboards on the board - AI agent that reads your canvas context, searches the web, and places results directly as nodes - Nested boards for organizing larger workspaces hierarchically - Presentation mode β frame and present directly from the canvas - Semantic search across all your nodes and links - 12 beautiful themes - MIT licensed, self-hostable, works with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek and more What is Dim0 for? Researchers and students who need to visualize complex information. Developers who think spatially. Anyone tired of switching between too many tools just to get one idea out of their head. How does it compare? Unlike Notion, Dim0 is spatial and canvas-first. Unlike Excalidraw, it has rich notes, code execution and a native AI agent. Unlike ChatGPT, the AI builds on your board β results don't disappear into a chat history. Is it open source? Yes. MIT licensed, fully self-hostable. github.com/vcmf/dim0

- Spatial canvas combining rich-text notes with hand-drawn diagrams and HTML widgets.
- AI agent capable of reading board context and placing web search results as canvas nodes.
- Flexible deployment through self-hosting with supporting for various LLMs via the MIT license.
- Live code execution and semantic search across hierarchical nested boards.
Ideal for: Developers, students, and data scientists can use this spatial workspace to manage complex research and visualize data without switching tools.

Really impressed by Dim0's approach. Most of us end up juggling Notion, Excalidraw, browser tabs, and AI chats just to work through a single idea. Bringing notes, diagrams, code execution, and AI into one spatial canvas feels like a much more natural workflow. What stands out is that the AI doesn't just respond in a chat windowβit actually works on the board with you, adding nodes and research directly where the context lives. The combination of nested boards, semantic search, live code execution, and self-hosting makes it especially appealing for developers, researchers, and anyone working on complex projects. Open source and MIT licensed is a huge bonus. Looking forward to seeing how the community builds on this. Great work!

Interesting. I will give it a try soon.
Canvas nodes instead of a chat sidebar is the detail that sold me. Nested boards + live code on one surface is rare. MIT/self-host is great.
@dantecady thank you. Those're definitely some of the main selling points. It feels great that someone likes the solution! Don't hesitate to test out and tell me if you have some feedback
@quang Definitely will!
Hey PeerPush! I built Dim0 - an open source canvas where notes, diagrams, code and an AI agent live together. The agent reads your board and writes results directly as nodes, not in a chat box.
