The idea of putting notes, sketches, and AI-agent output on one spatial canvas is compelling. Local-first persistence and self-hosting are strong touches; an onboarding example for first-time boards could help new users.

Hi, @quang! I'm interested in one thing: if all operations are applied on the server, what happens to a board that was edited while the server was unavailable? Are the edits lost, or is there a queue and reconciliation upon reconnection?
Hi @alekstret, very good question. Actually all operations are always applied locally first, then persisted to server only for synchronisation and collaboration between devices.
@alekstret To be more specific, the agent harness is in the front-end side, server only relays messages.
@alekstret So all data are saved locally first, then persisted to server. Once you promote a local board 'remote', or reconnect, the data will be synced online (behind is an op-based collaboration system)
@quang Hi, I got it, thanks. So what about two writers? For instance, my laptop and phone both edit the same item offline, then both reconnect. Do the op streams converge, or does the last sync overwrite?
@alekstret for now it's LWW( last write win). But it's per node, like for each node, the last edit wins, not the entire board.
Great idea. How does it differ from Miro?
@lea compared to Miro: Dim0 still gives you the whiteboard (shapes, sketches, sticky notes), but the objects on the board can also be live documents, code, and mini-apps, not just visuals
@lea and there's an AI agent that reads the board and acts on it directly. also Miro is a closed-source, where Dim0 is open-source and self-hostable.
MIT licensed, self hostable, works with eight different model providers, and built by one person. That is a lot of scope shipped without locking anyone in. Respect.
The spatial design of this canvas is really elegant. Being able to place AI outputs directly as nodes instead of chat history is a clever insight.
MIT and self-hostable is the part I'd underline. It means the board can hold notes people would never paste into a hosted assistant. Do nested boards inherit the parent's context for the agent, or is each board its own scope?

Placing agent output directly on the board as nodes instead of a chat sidebar is the detail that sells this. Spatial context survives, chat history doesn't. Well deserved lead this month.
