About IAXT
IAXT is a free macOS menu-bar app that records what AI coding agents actually do on your Mac, so you can review a session after it ends instead of trying to catch everything live. It watches what Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex, Copilot, and other coding agents run on your machine: commands run, files changed, packages installed, git operations, and persistence like launch agents and cron. It never blocks or changes anything, and it runs entirely in user space with no kernel extension. IAXT is not a raw log. A filter built specifically for AI-agent activity cuts through the noise and sorts every action into three tiers, so you read a short list instead of scrolling a firehose: Routine (normal development, kept out of your way), Flagged (an FYI worth a glance, like a download, a package install, or a new git remote), and Review (the few things worth checking just in case, like persistence, credential access, or unexpected outbound network calls). Every action is attributed to the agent session responsible, across a day Overview and a filterable Action Log. All data stays on your Mac, in a local SQLite database and daily JSONL logs you can open or delete. No account, no signup, no telemetry. The only network call the app makes is a Check for Updates you click yourself. IAXT is free for individuals, distributed as a signed and notarized DMG for macOS 13 Ventura or later (Apple Silicon and Intel).

IAXT answers one question after an AI coding session: what did the agent actually do on my Mac? Free, local, and it flags the few actions worth a look. Feedback very welcome!
