About Market Chain 98
Market Chain 98 is a retro incremental game set inside a nostalgic 90s operating system environment. You begin with a small shop and must manage bank loans, expand logistics hubs, and unlock global upgrades through a specialized Portfolio. The gameplay involves managing multiple windows on a virtual desktop to dominate the market through strategic expansion and business simulation. 🛠️ Key Features Authentic 90s OS Workspace: Run your entire corporate empire through a fully functional virtual desktop interface, complete with draggable retro windows, responsive system icons, and a cozy CRT shader effect. High-Stakes Macro Management: Take out dynamic bank loans for aggressive early multiplier scaling, but watch your interest rates closely to keep profit margins in the green. Automated Logistics Distribution: Establish Logistics Hubs on a global map, purchase delivery fleets, and optimize supply chains to eliminate customer bottleneck queues automatically. IPO Prestige Protocol: Liquidate your massive retail empire for corporate shares, resetting your progress to unlock permanent, game-breaking multipliers across a massive Portfolio upgrade tree. ⚖️ What Makes It Different? Unlike standard idle clickers that rely on passive waiting or endless repetitive clicking, Market Chain 98 shifts the focus entirely to active multi-window optimization and risk management. Your progression isn't just a linear curve; it's interrupted by a dynamic Email Event Manager. You will have to make split-second corporate decisions to survive random event drops, including worker union strikes, sudden IRS tax audits, and compliance threats like the incoming Y2K bug. 📈 Real Outcomes Players Can Expect Deep Mechanical Satisfaction: Experience the dopamine hit of watching local storefront profits explode into infinite, global scientific notation valuations through smart automated routing. Engaging Nostalgic Atmosphere: Lose track of time inside a beautifully packaged aesthetic, backed by a retro lo-fi soundtrack that feels like working late at a 1998 tech startup. High Replayability: No two corporate runs are identical. Balance debt ratios differently each time to break the math and build the ultimate monopoly.

Clever retro game design. The 90s OS aesthetic works perfectly for the business-sim mechanics. Loved the portfolio management system and managing virtual windows adds a fun layer. Would benefit from more content variety, but solid foundation for a tycoon game.
