About Toolport
Toolport is a free, open source local gateway that sits between every AI client you use and every MCP server you run. Set up and authenticate a server once in Toolport and it shows up in Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 15+ other clients, with hot toggles and no restarts. No more pasting the same config and API key into five different tools. It also fixes the MCP token tax. Instead of every server dumping its full tool list into context on every request, Toolport exposes a handful of meta-tools your agent searches on demand. Measured on a frontier model and graded for correct answers, that's up to 91% fewer tool tokens at the same task success. Security is local by default. Toolport fingerprints every tool and flags rug pulls (a definition changing after you approved it) and tool poisoning (hidden instructions in a description). Your API keys live in your OS keychain, never in a client config and never in the cloud. Destructive tool calls can require your approval before they run. Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. No account, no cloud, MIT licensed.

Easy to use, and works just fine!
This makes it really easy to connect all my MCP servers to claude and cursor. I wanted to try google's antigravity and it took one click to connect all my servers with toolport. It would have taken 20+ mins by hand.

Very nice app !
Does it works with local LLMs / cloud LLMs?
@viciousse Both. Toolport doesn't run the model, it sits between your client and your MCP servers, so it works with whatever your client uses. Cloud models via Claude, Cursor, Codex, etc., and local ones through Open WebUI
